The Oklahoma House Republican Caucus is searching for a politically savvy communications professional who works well under tight deadlines and is passionate about the issues facing Oklahomans. As part of the House Republican Caucus Communications team, you will work with elected representatives to produce engaging graphics and videography on public policy issues across multiple social media platforms.

Digital Media Specialist
The Oklahoma House Republican Caucus is searching for a politically savvy communications professional who works well under tight deadlines and is passionate about the issues facing Oklahomans. As part of the House Republican Caucus Communications team, you will work with elected representatives to produce engaging graphics and videography on public policy issues across multiple social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work with legislators and Communications staff to produce high-quality videos, graphics and copy for social media platforms about public policy issues and Caucus priorities
- Contribute to concept, strategy and creative development sessions of the communications team
- Provide digital media support for members of leadership as necessary
- Assist with daily media clippings
- Manage planning, development, scheduling and monitoring of digital content
- Civic and political awareness is a must
- Experience in government, public affairs, campaigns or advocacy is a plus but not necessary
- Proficiency in content development, especially Adobe Suite and Canva
- Familiarity with management of Facebook, X and Instagram pages
- Excellent communication and writing skills and a thorough knowledge of AP Style
- Ability to successfully meet deadlines, prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A professional work demeanor that fosters the trust and confidence of fellow staff and elected legislators
- Willingness and ability to work some evenings during session and travel occasionally
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with professional experience preferred
- Starting salary will be $60,500 but could increase due to experience and training. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, annual leave, sick leave, holidays, and longevity pay.
