INSIGHT INTO THE ROLE
As the Marketing Communications Specialist, you will lead all communications efforts for Datamars Livestock, creating and executing strategies to enhance brand visibility and support revenue goals across North America. This role involves developing impactful messaging and materials that effectively communicate our brand value and product benefits to customers in the livestock industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Communications Strategy: Develop and implement a marketing communications plan with a comprehensive content and advertising calendar to support brand goals.
- Content Creation & Management: Oversee the creation and end-to-end delivery of product marketing materials, including launch presentations, website copy, packaging, media releases, datasheets, brochures, flyers, and campaign assets.
- Event & Trade Show Leadership: Serve as the primary lead for planning and executing trade shows, industry events, and key marketing gatherings, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
- Retail Merchandising Strategy: Design and execute point-of-purchase materials and retail merchandising strategies that support brand visibility in stores.
- Digital & Print Content Support: Manage the creation of digital and print content, including advertorials, ads, and online publications, and support packaging design and improvement initiatives.
- Brand Champion: Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in tone, voice, design, and messaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build positive relationships with internal teams and external partners (agencies, designers, videographers, etc.) to align messaging and drive cohesive branding efforts.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills with a knack for managing details and timelines effectively.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Customer-Centric Communication: Skilled at conveying complex information in a clear, engaging way that resonates with target audience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Experience: 3+ years in marketing communications or agency roles, with experience in the agricultural sector preferred.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop); knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UX/UI design principles; experience with WordPress/CMS, marketing automation, and CRM (Salesforce) preferred.
* AI Proficiency: Familiarity with AI tools for marketing and communications preferred.
* Broad brand management and product marketing experience (withstrength in digital/social media)
