The Director of Corporate Communications is an expert strategic communications leader responsible for driving global media relations and communications strategies to improve and protect PVHs corporate reputation. This key role will direct the development and execution of external communications, including media relations, executive communications, crisis management, financial communications and thought leadership with the goal of driving awareness and understanding of the companys vision, performance and progress among a variety of stakeholders. Reporting to the VP of External Communications, this role will be an important partner with PVHs executive, brand, regional and functional teams to craft culture and drive high performance. A successful candidate will play a meaningful role in helping the company build Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger into the most desirable lifestyle brands in the world and make PVH one of the highest performing brand groups in its sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and launch next generation corporate external communications strategies to enhance and protect PVHs reputation.
- Develop and build strong relationships with key business/trade media and industry stakeholders.
- Execute business and financial communications to support key corporate events, including quarterly earnings and strategic corporate and financial news.
- Manage and implement crisis communications strategies to anticipate and mitigate risks, manage issues and reactive media, and steer post-crisis recovery.
- Partner with senior leadership and relevant partners to create and execute compelling corporate narrative that supports business goals and priorities and drives thought leadership and differentiation.
- Lead executive visibility and thought leadership programs, including awards, rankings, conferences and other external forums.
- Develop and execute an editorial strategy that cuts across all corporate channels
- Create clear and compelling communications materials, including leadership briefs, press releases, key messages, Q&As and proactive/reaction press materials.
- Celebrate company culture and promote PVH values; Leverage communications to support PVHs unique work environment.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through excellent written and verbal communications skills; Translate complex challenges into simple and clear communications.
- Leverage entrepreneurial mindset and data-driven approach to continuously test, iterate and evolve programming to achieve improved results over time.
- Manage ambiguous and challenging tasks.
- Take initiative and personal accountability to lead oneself, meet deadlines and deliverables.
