Job Title: Audio-Visual and Technical Services Manager
Position summary:
The Audio-Visual Manager plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional audio, visual, and lighting experiences across the resort's conference, public spaces and entertainment venues. This position requires advanced technical expertise, effective leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The AV Manager oversees a full-service professional audiovisual deployment, ensuring all systems operate seamlessly for conferences, meetings, and entertainment events.
In addition to managing AV services, the AV Manager collaborates closely with the IT Specialist to support daily technical tasks and provide weekend support as necessary. This ensures comprehensive technical coverage and smooth operations across all venues and resort-wide systems.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of advanced audiovisual technologies, a proven track record in AV operations, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. This role also focuses on maintaining ambiance through sound and lighting, ensuring that all resort venues deliver an unforgettable guest experience.

AV Position responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all audio-visual needs for Alyeska Resort, ensuring seamless operation for conferences and events.
- Collaborate with clients and staff to plan and resolve any AV-related needs promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate, schedule, and arrange maintenance for all AV equipment as required.
- Provide maintenance, operation, and training for AV equipment as needed.
- Identify opportunities for improved service by recommending the purchase or addition of new technology and equipment as needed.
- Monitor and test AV equipment according to industry standards to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with system build, testing, and implementation of all applicable AV products and technologies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by representing Alyeska Resort’s interests through proactive customer interaction and follow-up.
- Deliver superior customer service, addressing client needs with professionalism and efficiency.
- Complete all administrative job requirements in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to AV systems, including pre-installation, installation, and post-installation processes.
- Provide training on AV systems and products to co-workers and guests, ensuring they are equipped to use the equipment effectively.
- Support AV operations at all Alyeska Resort locations, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Assist with other technology-related tasks and projects as assigned by management.
- Stay up to date with new AV products and technologies, becoming an expert as new products are introduced.
- Actively engage in personal and professional development to maintain knowledge of current industry trends and innovations.
- Comply with company policies and health & safety standards, promoting a collaborative team environment.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
First-Level IT Support:
- Provide first-level IT support for staff and guests, including troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
- Assist with password changes, system logins, and user account issues in a timely manner.
- Resolve basic network connectivity issues and assist with the setup of devices such as printers, laptops, and AV equipment.
- Collaborate with the IT department for escalated issues or complex technical support needs.
- Document and track all IT support requests and resolutions in accordance with company procedures.
Essential skills and experience:
- 4+ years in Conference Services/Audio Visual field.
- Advanced knowledge of integrated Audio-Visual systems.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional and appropriate demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to carry out responsibilities with little supervision
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, to include: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Thorough knowledge of PC platform including networks and file mapping.
- Must demonstrate customer service, operational excellence, teamwork, continuous process improvement, leading by example and exceptional character.
