The Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP) is an economic development nonprofit dedicated to serving and promoting the 11-county region of southeast Michigan. DRP was founded in 2019 by a group of business and philanthropic CEOs and is laser-focused on marketing the region to out-of-state and international companies. DRP is searching for a skilled and motivated Marketing Manager who has a deep and extensive knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies, as well as strong project management skills. You will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy as well as high-level marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for creating positive national and international brand awareness that advances the Detroit regions story. The Team: You will work in coordination with the Vice President of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator, and external marketing consultants. Together you will work to amplify the Detroit regions story as a premier location for business across the globe, thereby building a more equitable and prosperous Detroit region. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Marketing Project Management: Efficiently manage the scheduling of all marketing projects, keeping projects on deadline and on budget. This involves keep project management system (Asana) up to date, ensuring clear visibility on project progress, serving as a key point of contact for designers, external vendors, and project requesters. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with stakeholders across departments to develop impactful content and marketing campaigns that promote brand awareness for DRP. Strategize and Lead Events: Develop and implement a comprehensive event marketing strategy that includes participation in trade shows, industry events, and hosting our own events to engage clients and investors. Digital Strategy Management: Oversee the organizations digital presence including website management, search engine optimization, email marketing, and organic and paid digital media strategies. Provide guidance and oversight of the social media strategy in coordination with the Digital Marketing Coordinator. Must have experience with SEO and Digital Advertising. Metrics Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, leveraging data insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance. Lead ad hoc strategic projects as assigned. Serve as the DRP lead for the coordination of video and photography projects. WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE: Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience. Approximately 10 years of experience, or equivalent skills and expertise supporting business development and marketing initiatives with significant experience in digital communications. Strong Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational abilities with a high attention to detail and track record working on multiple projects. Strategic/Creative Thinking: Ability to think strategically about event participation and create high-impact marketing initiatives that resonate with target audiences. Effective Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow you to articulate ideas clearly and engage diverse audiences. Creative, innovative, and proactive problem-solving and recognized success in tackling issues with fresh ideas and perspective. Previous agency experience preferred. Can-do attitude, roll-up-your-sleeves approach, and commitment to excellence. Proficiency in marketing and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms, or equivalent) and quick to learn new technologies and tools.
