Media & Events Assistant
Stanbridge University is seeking a candidate with administrative experience for a position as a Media and Events Assistant in our Media and Communications department. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is people-oriented and gets along well within a team. You will wear many hats including responsibility for and assisting with event assistance, form/document creation and management, and administrative support for Media and Communications department.
Employment Status:
Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Essential Functions:
· Basic email and phone communication for event coordination, interview scheduling, and other miscellaneous tasks.
· Assisting Events team with set up for both full time and part time orientations.
· Assisting Media and Events team in basic event logistics on-campus and off-campus.
· Assisting in print production and installation of graphical materials.
· Assisting in pick-up and delivery of orders, gifts and marketing or event materials.
· Basic research and reporting of marketing campaigns and surveys.
· Assisting in data entry, scanning, filing and organization of materials and file systems.
· Assisting in population of social media profiles and related blog websites.
· Assisting in media tasks for other departments and instructors as needed.
· Will work as tightly integrated component of existing Media and Events team.
· You will be required to perform various departmental administrative tasks ranging from everyday material organization, assist with various projects as needed.
· Availability for occasional night and weekend events throughout the year.
· Willing to work occasional overtime hours depending on event requirements.
Qualifications:
· Will need to be able to drive large vehicles such as a sprinter van or U-Haul, and other company cars for events as needed.
· Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
· Excellent ability to multi-task.
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and Word.
· Excellent written and verbal English skills.
· Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
