Description
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of Rail operations experience is required
- Knowledge of various rail modes such as Commuter Rail, Light Rail, and/or Streetcar preferred
- Knowledge of Operations of DMUs and EMUs required
- Knowledge of Maintenance of Equipment (DMUs and EMUs) and Maintenance of Way (Track, Signaling and Communications, OCS, Catenary-free solutions, etc.) required
- Knowledge of FRA and FTA regulations required
- Knowledge of Customer Service, Mobilizations/Transitions, Planning & Scheduling, Safety & Training, and/or Security, Labor/Unions as it applies to operations, required
- Must have experience writing technical documents (including but not limited to plans, SOPs, etc.)
- Experience working as Project Director/Manager and/or on pursuits preferred

Key Accountabilities: Business Development
- Serves as Project Director, Lead SME and technical writer for pursuits
- Serves as key point of contact for leading Rail pursuits
- Leads technical analyses and due diligence in areas such as operations, train and infrastructure maintenance, planning and scheduling, and runcutting and rostering, safety & security, etc.
- Leads research and review of documents and plans, with a focus on Operations, Maintenance, Customer Service, Mobilizations/Transitions, Planning & Scheduling, Safety & Training, and/or Security, Labor/Unions, required
- Leads the development of technical plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participates in technical reviews and discussions
- Leads technical presentations to governance
- Assists with pricing activities
- Manages Rail Operations and Maintenance SME
- Collaborates with Pricing and other support functions
- Supports other activities as needed by the VP of Rail Development
