Freelance Technical Designer (Swim)

Swimwear Technical Designer Hybrid in Brooklyn 35hr-45hr DOE

Our client

is a women's swimwear brand that is making waves in the industry. They are looking for a Technical Designer to oversee seasonal swim development.

This a freelance role for 2-3 months.

Technical Designer Responsibilities:

• Spec and measure samples • Attending fittings and take notes • Managing fit models and fit schedule • Organizing and completing the fit list for weekly fittings • Editing tech packs in PLM including specs, pattern blocks, and grading • Communicate fit notes using PLM to be share with vendors • Ensure all grade rules are correct in PLM for final production

Technical Designer Qualifications:

• College degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design. • 2-3+ years of experience working in Technical Design; swimwear or intimates experience needed • Basic knowledge of PLM systems • Knowledge of garment construction • Experience with pattern making and a strong understanding of grading • Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple seasonal deliverables
