We are seeking a strong Sr. User Experience Researcher to elevate our established research processes to the next level. This role is crucial as our team is growing, and we need someone ready to manage people and drive research operations. The ideal candidate will have a mix of qualitative and quantitative research skills, including the ability to conduct surveys (such as NPS), analyze data, and communicate actionable insights to a wide audience.

As our Senior User Experience Researcher, you’ll support HID’s success by:
Conducting user research on all customer and partner-facing offerings
Testing low-fidelity prototypes, concepts, and production software
Delivering actionable insights to designers and partner teams
Establishing and maintaining efficient and sustainable collaborative processes
Preparing task plans and research reports summarizing goals, hypotheses, and results, and presenting findings to stakeholders and executive teams
Working closely with UX designers to create user flows, customer journeys, and personas
Defining meaningful UX metrics and setting measurable, achievable product goals
Mentoring junior researchers as needed

Collecting and analyzing data to produce meaningful and actionable insights
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, and international technical standards

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Providing tangible product recommendations based on research findings
Proficient in data entry electronic sheets, such as Excel
Proficient in unmoderated user testing platforms, such as PlaybookUX
Familiar with survey creation tools, such as Qualtrics
Your Experience and Education include:
M.S. degree in psychology, cognitive science, Human Factors, HCI, or a related discipline with 5+ years of relevant work experience, OR
Ph.D. degree in psychology, cognitive science, Human Factors, HCI, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience
End-to-end experience with all aspects of user research—planning, budgeting, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research
Experience with surveys and quantitative data analysis
Ability to conduct user testing using qualitative methods
Desired but not required:
Experience with accessibility and security standards
Experience with enterprise and government users
Familiarity with access control or logical access
