CetraRuddy is currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer with specialized experience in multifamily residential projects, particularly in conversions. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while upholding the firm's dedication to quality, creativity, and contextual integrity, with the ability to lead as a project manager, driving both design and project management efforts.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will work closely with our other Senior Designers, project team members, and our Principal of Interior Design to develop design solutions. Your responsibilities will include producing precise drawings, renderings, and presentations for both internal and external developers, as well as coordinating construction documentation and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). You will have the opportunity to be the main point of contact on projects as a project manager, ensuring the alignment of all efforts with CetraRuddy's design principles.

Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of precise drawings, renderings, and images for presentation, coordination, and construction phases, ensuring each project reflects the firm's commitment to design excellence and contextual integrity. Act as a primary point of contact for developers, architects, and clients, facilitating discussions to understand project objectives, budgets, and aesthetic preferences while providing expert design recommendations. Creating efficient space layouts that maximize functionality while ensuring comfort and accessibility for residents. Producing compelling design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to effectively convey ideas to clients and stakeholders. Curate and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that achieve the aesthetic and functional goals of each project while maintaining budget scope and client's needs. Prepare and deliver polished presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders, effectively articulating design concepts, progress, and solutions to challenges. Review project documentation and deliverables to ensure they meet the firm's standards for quality, consistency, and design integrity across all phases of the project. Ensure all designs adhere to applicable local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards, maintaining high levels of integrity and precision. Skills/Requirements
Professional Degree in Architecture or Interior Design. A minimum of 8 years of experience in an architecture or interior design firm, focusing on residential or mixed-use projects, is preferred. Strong design sensibility and technical knowledge. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. A commitment to active participation in the studio culture and collaborative teamwork. Programs/Software
Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit Sketch-up, and the Adobe Creative Suite Demonstrated superior graphic production & presentation abilities
Pay Range:
The base salary for this position is estimated to range between
$105,000 and $130,000
,
depending on experience, with opportunities for bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
