Job Summary
The Assistant Technical Designer will provide support to the Off- Price tech team with creating technical packages, CADs drawing, and measuring samples. This role spans a wide variety of skills relating to fit and sample development. Maintains good organizational skills and has a passion for product.
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample proto check-in, measure incoming garments, review sample details, enter information into tech packs in preparation for fittings. Take notes in fittings and assist in writing fit comments to send out to factories. Engage in daily communication and follow-up with suppliers for all tech related processes. Coordinate and maintain samples from factories. Assist with general daily task management based on needs within the technical division. Assist with creating tech packs to include measurements, grading and construction details. Support and partner with TD/Design/Manager with CADs, lab dips and product development. Help draw CADs for each season. Attend cross-functional meetings and have relevant information ready for discussion. Interact daily with design and production teams. Qualifications
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Organize and track samples. Works well in a fast-paced environment with strong personable skills. Works quickly and efficiently in a pressured and fast paced environment. Minimum of 3 years' experience in the fashion industry working with sweaters and cut and sew knits is preferred. Garment construction and patternmaking knowledge. Degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or Patternmaking, preferred.
