What Would You Do as a Communications Specialist?

As a Communications Specialist at Journey Group, you'll play a vital role in shaping our internal and external narratives. Collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing and Communication, you will create and implement comprehensive communication strategies that span social media, digital platforms, and traditional marketing. Your responsibilities will include developing impactful messaging strategies and crafting engaging content for diverse channels, such as newsletters, press releases, and company proposals. You'll ensure clarity and consistency across all communications while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including employees, the public, and the news media. Additionally, you'll leverage analytics to assess the effectiveness of your initiatives and stay ahead of industry trends.

Are you A Good Fit For This Communications Specialist Role?

To excel as a Communications Specialist at Journey Group, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Essential skills include outstanding communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities, paired with a creative mindset for solving diverse communication challenges. Exceptional copywriting, grammar, and editing skills are crucial for producing clear and compelling content across various platforms. Candidates should demonstrate a keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, enabling them to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of digital and social media, along with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and Canva, is vital.
