Job Summary:
The Director, Account-Based Marketing has a business-critical role within the Revenue Marketing organization and will significantly impact revenue growth. This person will develop our account-based marketing strategy globally with the goal of reaching high-value accounts and meeting revenue expectations. They will lead a team of account-based marketers who will build and deploy ABM plans to reach expected pipeline and revenue goals.
This high-impact role requires a results-driven, people leader who has in-depth knowledge of ABM/ABX. They should have proven experience establishing an ABM/ABX program, leading a high-performing team, and deploying account-based marketing campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish the account-based marketing function, including the operating model, practices and procedures, and team alignment
- Leverage ABM/ABX best practices to drive significant revenue growth for the organization across key verticals and areas of focus
- Create documented playbooks for ABM 1:1, 1:Few, and 1:Many campaigns - developing ABM best practices and criteria for the entire organization
- Lead a high-performing ABM team of marketing managers who will build and deploy ABM campaigns to targeted, high-value accounts
- Align closely with the Sales team and others to have an end-to-end integrated approach to target accounts, ensuring a seamless and consistent approach from marketing engagement to acquisition and cross-sell
- Create the framework for account targeting and personalization, including levels of personalization and most effective marketing materials, channels, and messages for the buying committee
- Set up and report on measures of success with Marketing Performance and Analytics in terms of MQAs, SQAs, and revenue
- Develop and deploy multi-channel ABM campaigns including crafting strategy, aligning internal teams, and overseeing execution
- Work with Martech team to ensure that ABM tools and technology meet the needs of the ABM strategy team
- Forecast and manage ABM campaign ad spending; have an efficiency mindset and the ability to test, pause, pivot, or increase investment
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of proven experience in ABM with a successful track record in a leadership role
- Has stood up an ABM function before, preferably at a payments or fintech company
- Strong people leader and ABM practitioner who is able to lead the team with authenticity and resourcefulness
- Strong collaborator and influencer amongst a functional marketing team and extended sales and operations teams
- In-depth knowledge of ABM 1:1, 1:Few, 1:Many definitions and practices
- Knowledge of key intent tools such as 6sense or Demandbase
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to distill complex ABM concepts into executive-level takeaways
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data to inform decision-making and strategy
- Excellent project management abilities, demonstrating the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the payments industry is highly preferred
