Job Title: Product Designer
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Salary Range: $71K-$77K
Job Summary: We're seeking a Product Designer to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge military combat vehicles. This role involves creating and managing CAD designs, conducting feasibility studies, and supporting system integration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in product design and development for U.S. defense programs. Responsibilities:
Create and manage CAD designs, 3D components, and 2D drawings. Perform packaging, feasibility, and kinematic studies. Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and support engineering changes. Troubleshoot design issues and support prototype and production builds. Adhere to industry standards like GD&T and ASME. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in design reviews. Qualifications:
Education:
AS in Product Design (Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, or similar). Experience:
5+ years in product design for U.S. defense programs; proficiency in CAD tools (PTC Creo preferred). Familiarity with U.S. DoD processes and military standards. Ability to obtain a SECRET U.S. Defense clearance. Preferred:
BS in Engineering and/or German language skills. Experience with 3D printing and materials like steel and aluminum. Why Join Us?
