Position Overview: The Content Strategist at demandDrive is more than a content creator; this role is designed for a strategic leader who can take ownership of client deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Content Strategy, the Content Strategist will be responsible for managing multiple content projects, overseeing a team of writers and content resources, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients. This role requires someone who can think creatively, lead a team, and drive results through effective content planning and execution.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Content Ownership: Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives, audience needs, and market trends. Take ownership of project outcomes and ensure high-quality content delivery.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Regularly present content strategies, updates, and performance insights to clients, addressing their questions and incorporating feedback.
  • Project and Team Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end execution of content projects, adhering to timelines, managing resources, and executing deliverables. Lead a team of content writers and specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster growth and ensure quality.
  • Content Development and Optimization: Drive content creation processes, from ideation to publication. Ensure that all content is optimized for SEO, aligns with brand messaging, and meets clients' strategic goals.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with freelance and in-house writers, editors, and other content resources. Monitor tasks and timelines, provide feedback, and ensure efficiency and productivity within the content department.
  • Performance Measurement and Strategy Adjustment: Track, analyze, and help build reports on content performance metrics, including engagement, conversions, and SEO rankings. Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Creative and Strategic Thinking: Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table to help clients stand out in their industries. Apply a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to develop content that resonates with target audiences and drives measurable results.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Content Strategy, as well as teams in design, digital marketing, and sales, to align content strategies with broader campaigns and initiatives.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or related roles, ideally in an agency setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage content projects, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring writers and content resources, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles and a knack for building strong client relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, content marketing strategies, and digital engagement techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations based on performance insights.
  • Creative thinker who can balance innovation with strategic execution, adapting content to various industries and audience needs.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), project management tools, and analytics platforms
