Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Game Developer to join our team. Reporting to the Game Development Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, code, and implement innovative gaming experiences. This role requires expertise in Python programming as well as other languages and experience in developing interactive entertainment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the writing and design teams to create engaging and innovative gaming experiences.
• Develop and implement game mechanics, logic, and rules based on design specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Integrate audio, visual assets, and special effects to enhance player engagement.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliable functionality across platforms.
• Optimize gameplay elements for user engagement and accessibility.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into game design.
• Document code and technical processes to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for puzzles, mechanics, and storytelling.
• Support the development and implementation of new features and updates throughout the game lifecycle.
• Attend team meetings and collaborate on deadlines, deliverables, and project milestones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years experience in coding / game development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
• Proven experience in game development, preferably in escape rooms, interactive entertainment, or similar fields.
• Knowledge of game design principles, player psychology, and storytelling mechanics.
• Experience with integrating APIs and managing data flows within games.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with show control systems and interactive elements.
• Experience with additional programming languages like JavaScript, C#, or C++.
• Knowledge of VR/AR technologies or cross-platform game development tools.
