Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Actively engage in a year-long Tribal Capacity Building Program, including attending a series of virtual workshops, one-on-one assistance sessions, and networking opportunities.
  2. Develop and implement capacity building strategies, including writing new grants, creating grant management workflows, participation in partnership meetings and meeting other critical needs as they arise.
    1. Grant writing activities including researching opportunities, developing programs and/or projects, and submitting applications and all necessary documents.
    2. Development and improvement of grant administration workflows such as financial record keeping and reporting, deliverable tracking and narrative report submissions
    3. Meet with tribes, agencies and local partners to collaborate, develop and prioritize projects and/or relevant programs
  3. Build and maintain effective relationships with SNC staff, other Tribal Capacity Building Program participants, and relevant tribes, tribal entities and stakeholders.
  4. Share the Tribe's expertise with other Tribal Capacity Building Program participants, and relevant tribes and tribal entities
  5. Participate in partnership building activities and use these opportunities to advance tribal interests and goals.
  6. Ensure adherence to grant requirements, program guidelines, and reporting obligations.
  7. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all actions and duties.
  3. Ability to interact professionally with people with a wide variety of backgrounds.
  4. Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  5. Keen attention to detail as well as solid written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks independently.
  7. Must be flexible to attend all meetings required; may include evenings.
  8. Proficient use of computer programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe software, Teams/Zoom programs, and OneDrive.
  9. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions with minimum explanation.
