OCR Aviation is hiring: Social Media Manager & Creative in Long Beach

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to Marketing Director.

• Assist Marketing Director in launching OCR Aviation’s new YouTube channel; shoot weekly high quality video content, ideally to be released on a weekly cadence.

• Manage social media calendar and all accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of relevant content in format adapted to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

• Assist Marketing Director in file management/storage of all media shot and produced.

• Collaborate to develop quarterly social media strategies to convert business for OCR Aviation’s core service offerings.

• Shoot aesthetic, high quality aircraft listing photos as necessary for our new sales listings.

• Participate in weekly brainstorms with the sales team to ideate innovative ways to showcase OCR Aviation’s services.

• Work with Marketing Director to ensure cohesive branding, voice, style, and messaging across all social media.

• Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a professional and timely manner.

• Manage weekly documentation of key social media performance metrics.

• Stay updated on social media trends and aviation industry news to create relevant content.

• Be open to experimentation with fresh ideas for photos, videos, and campaigns that are unique, specific, visually appealing, and can stand out in the aviation industry. We want to turn technical details into engaging content.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have strong videography skills. We want our YouTube content to be shot on our Sony a7 III, and edited and posted on a weekly or biweekly cadence. Strong camera knowledge and ability to execute this task efficiently is the most important qualification for this role.

• This role is not a good fit for anyone averse to flying. A lot of our content will be shot in-air. Knowledge of aviation and enthusiasm for the industry is a plus.
