Work Description:
The LA Court is in need of a full-time Web Designer (User Experience (UX) and Graphic Designer) to lead the effort in the redesign of the Court's public website: www.lacourt.org.
The candidate will be responsible for:
• Designing graphic content like logos and branding, application icons, digital advertisements, and marketing flyers.
• Conceptualizing creative website ideas for and with subject matter experts based on Court business needs and preferences
• Designing responsive website pages that showcase the Courts brand identity, online services and allows for access to other Court content.
• Employing industry and design best practices through the website build process, such as coding standards, accessibility, security, and performance
• Conducting testing and improving the website design to create the best possible user experience and functionality
• Integrating CMS programs and data feeds into websites to ensure smooth content management and updates
• Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability to ensure fast loading times and compatibility across devices
Developer rate not to exceed max rate state in MSA.
Project Overview:
The LA Court has a project to redesign its public website to have a more modern and responsive UI that allows for better content organization, usability, and provide overall user experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
The candidate must have:
• A portfolio of previous web design projects that demonstrate skills and creativity
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools to create mock-ups,
storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping and coding web pages or entire websites
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process to collaborate with other developers, UX
designer, and stakeholders
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction and aesthetics
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively by applying critical thinking skills and design
principles
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and translate requirements
into design elements; can think outside the box to solve competing design, content, navigation issues

Contractor must pass the Court's security background check prior to commencing work and any purchase order issued for the work order will be canceled if the contractor is not cleared.
