Graphic Artist

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Graphic Artist to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Produce graphics and modify existing graphics to support new or updated/modified Naval Aviation Manuals and Technical Products
Apply customer-specific business rules using proven conversion and data management technology and processes
Edit technical data in pertinent vector graphic formats for XML integration ensuring data integrity and quality using specified toolsets and processes
Quality Assurance (QA) of drafted/edited graphical and technical data before delivery to the customer.
Work with established graphics editing tools including AutoCAD, Solid Works, Larsen, and Adobe Illustrator to facilitate the design, and development of a wide variety of electronic technical materials (technical manuals, schematics, illustrated parts diagrams, etc.)
Ensure timely and efficient completion of all work products. Ensure technical graphics are accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, format, and style
Interview production and engineering personnel to reviews technical documentation to develop the understanding required to perform writing assignments
Review documents to ensure compliance and continuity with style guidelines
Responsible for reviewing content of technical documentation for quality and produces technical illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirements
Provide design support to ensure communications and collateral adhere to strict brand guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma with minimum of eight years of related technical graphics experience
Proficiency with graphics illustration software tools
Experience with built-in editors and graphics software in collaborative software applications
Must be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
XML authoring tool experience to include authoring and editing chapters
Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, relating to XML editing software
Experience with file repositories
Clearance Requirements:
Active DoD Secret Clearance required to start
U.S. Citizenship required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
Move about freely in an office / laboratory setting
