Job Description

Mechanical Designer, up to $35/hr - Shelby Twp, MI

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to work for a furnace system design and manufacturing company! If you feel you fit the bill, this is the place for you!

Responsibilities:

Develop and create detailed mechanical designs and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Collaborate with others to ensure designs meet performance and quality standards.
Conduct design calculations and simulations to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation, including design records, technical specifications, and assembly instructions.
Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Support prototype development and testing, analyzing results to refine designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the development and manufacturing phases.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
years of experience in mechanical design
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri. In this position, you’d be mainly responsible for developing and creating detailed mechanical designs and specifications using CAD software.
