We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. We have positions for 3 writers and are in need of one at this time.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their automotive service needs. You will utilize your expertise in the industry along with superior customer service to ensure a seamless experience for our clients. Additionally, promoting services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, utilizing strong communication skills.
  • Perform upselling of additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Process customer transactions accurately, including cash handling, invoicing and financing.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and estimates.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
  • Stay updated on automotive technology and industry trends to provide informed recommendations; includes continued education through paid training.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns efficiently.
  • Management of fleet accounts, third party warranty claims and insurance claims.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive service advising or a similar role while preferred, is not necessarily required depending on comparable work history.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Proven ability to perform cash handling duties accurately and responsibly.
  • Proven experience OR willingness to develop a proactive approach to upselling services while maintaining customer trust.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
