The purpose of the Lead Graphic Designer is to create and protect Calvary’s visual identity and brand through high-level graphics. The Lead Graphic Designer oversees all aspects of graphic design, ensuring consistency and excellence across all platforms of Calvary.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Creative Direction and Strategy
- Develop and execute the overall visual style and graphic content for all church communications, including but not limited to sermon series, major events, promotional materials, digital graphics, etc.
- Collaborate with the Communications Director to create and maintain a consistent brand identity.
- Develop style guide for Calvary Church and for major events, coaching fellow communications team members how to work within the parameters of the style guide.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the quality of our visual content.
Project Management
- Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality able to be achieved in the given timeframe.
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their design needs and provide effective solutions (this pertains mostly to major departmental events; the junior graphic designer will work with departments on all other graphic needs).

- Skill in creating and enforcing brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms
- Expertise in using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Understanding of printing processes and digital media principles
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience
