Job Description:

Your Mission

At Blizzard Entertainment, we are passionate about creating immersive and visually stunning worlds. As a Senior Environment Artist, you will play a key role in bringing our gothic universe to life. Your primary focus will be on crafting modular and varied assets that empower our world builders. You will work closely with designers and other team members to develop the highly detailed elements that build the visually compelling worlds that our players expect.

In this role, you need a deep understanding of sculpting, modularity, visual design, and game camera limitations. Your contributions will include designing asset kits that support our team and directly building parts of our world. Collaboration is at the heart of our team; we value inclusivity, empathy, and professional growth. If you are a thoughtful and collaborative individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment, we believe you could be an excellent fit for us. Join us and help shape our future!

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY or Irvine, CA.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  1. Creating our kit of modular world assets, both natural, architectural, and hellish to be used by our team of level artists.
  2. Using programs like Zbrush to create assets from concepts, references, and team ideas, demonstrating their use in context with efficient, modular practices in mind.
