The Broadcast Operations & Media Support Engineer is responsible for all aspects of engineering at a studio located in New York City. This role will provide technical support as well as provide direction for integrated and hybrid broadcast, show and studio production operations.
What will you be doing?
- The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the overall health of production hardware/workflows at multiple locations within New York City.
- Oversee, manage, and initiate troubleshooting to completion of hardware, software systems, and workflows within each event production, studio, conference, and corporate spaces within the clients’ locations.
- Experience and competency configuring and operating hardware, software, equipment and systems with a large enterprise-level client.
- Perform daily readiness checks for all hardware and systems with the studio and events space each morning and prior to scheduled use.
- This position oversees executive-level and high-profile live events for both internal and external audiences. Setup, Operate and Strike of Client Live Events and Meeting support.
- Maintain and follow the scheduling, coordination, sourcing, and supervision of external vendors and third-party teams used for successful event planning, media services, and technical production.
- Experience with LG LED Video Wall Systems, Megapixel, Cyviz, etc. and associated Video Production equipment, and advanced support for digital signage systems LG LED Video Wall.
- Experience and competency with manufacturing tools and platforms used for configuration and problem resolution of audio-visual technologies such as Shure, QSC, Ross, etc.
What do we require from you?
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting/maintenance with broadcast standards and monitoring, media workflows, hardware, and technologies related to routing, encoding, audio and video signals, and media supply chain.
- Maintenance/monitoring/troubleshooting of server-based digital video and audio control systems, graphics systems, automation systems, and associated software and hardware infrastructure.
- Fixing and installing software and hardware for studio, AV, and broadcast equipment.
- Understanding of jobs and responsibilities within a studio/control room.
- Ability to operate commercial audio-visual, video conferencing, and broadcast equipment.
- Ability to use a scope to correct audio and video for optimal use.
- Understanding of SDI and NDI.
- Proficiency with commercial audio visual, video conferencing, and broadcast equipment and manufacturers specifically Ross and Evertz.
- Experience with Ross Xpression, Evertz Mangum Router Controls, Dante, Canon PTZ camera, and LED Displays is a plus.
- Some experience in supporting live AV events with high-level personnel.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, or Post troubleshooting is a plus.
- MAM/PAM, or Cloud experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with transcoding and decoding.
- Knowledge of Digital Signage, LG LED displays, and processing systems is a plus.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
