Fort Wayne Newspapers is hiring: Advertising Director in Fort Wayne

We are currently looking for an innovative individual and natural leader to help take us to the next level, starting with our Advertising Director.

Responsibilities:

1. Increase revenues for newspapers, magazines, online news products
2. Work with sales reps to develop strategies to help customers grow their business, forecast sales and surpass goals
3. Use consultative selling to manage key accounts
4. Make sales calls with sales reps
5. Attend community events
6. Create sales proposals and keep up-to-date special sections, marketing pieces, calendars, and Media Kit.

Qualifications:

1. Excellent skills in leadership, team building, negotiation, issue resolution, innovation, and customer service
2. College degree with an emphasis on sales, marketing or advertising
3. Proven experience as an Advertising Director or similar role
4. Outstanding external and internal communication skills
5. Strong understanding of online media and its metrics, analytics, and marketing
6. Self-motivated and goal oriented
7. History of building customer relationships and cross-selling techniques

Success will be achieved through a combination of coaching, supporting and challenging others to help them grow their territories and tell Fort Wayne Newspapers' story to a wide audience of customers and prospects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
