The School of Arts & Creative Industries is looking for an individual with a good honours degree and a higher degree (Ph.D. desirable) in Art Psychotherapy, along with significant practical and research experience. The successful candidate will provide learning, teaching, and assessment within the academic discipline of Art Psychotherapy. Responsibilities include undertaking research scholarly activity and/or consultancy and establishing effective liaison with external organizations.
This post is available as an Academic Contract (PhD essential) to contribute to the School's growing research activity alongside teaching, OR as a Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) contract designed to enable staff to focus their work on industry engagement alongside teaching.
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic experience in course leadership, curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and quality assurance of learning and teaching. A willingness to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and experience of postgraduate supervision are essential. An excellent theoretical understanding of Art Psychotherapy and an awareness of current and emerging platforms, practices, and socio-political movements within the field are required. A flexible and collaborative approach to working and the dissemination of best practices is necessary.
