To provide quality group and individual treatment to psychiatric patients. To serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of high-quality treatment to psychiatric patients.

Pay Range: $27/hr. to $35/hr.

Essential Functions

  1. Conducting Adjunctive Therapy assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment by interviewing the patient.
  2. Providing individual and group treatment using various treatment modalities from their discipline and training background.
  3. Attending treatment team meetings to provide adjunctive therapy (expressive, recreational, and life skills) perspective.
  4. Reporting to community/state agencies any patient issues required.
  5. Demonstrating conduct in keeping with Aurora ethical standards.
  6. Complying with facility safety, infection control, and security program.
  7. Participating in activities internal and external customer service standards.
  8. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. recreation therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, or related equivalent discipline).
  2. Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. art therapy, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy).
  3. Certification preferred.
  4. Mental health experience preferred.
  5. Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
  6. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for Healthcare Providers following the American Heart Association guidelines.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degrees in relevant fields.
  2. Certification preferred.
  3. Mental health experience preferred.
  4. Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
