Classic Stage Company is seeking a full-time Audience Services & Box Office Manager. CSC challenges the traditional perception of classic work by exploring and reimagining stories across the world’s repertoire. The position will work in the Box Office, located on East 13th Street, in NYC.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications and the General Manager, the Audience Services & Box Office Manager will execute all areas pertaining to the box office and ticket sales, including membership sales, ticket income tracking and reporting, and group sales. The position will oversee part-time Box Office Associates.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the box office and manage sales for all CSC events and memberships.
  2. Build and maintain all events, memberships, and reports (Spektrix); including financial reporting.
  3. Provide sales reporting and analysis to key internal stakeholders to inform marketing and pricing strategy.
  4. Manage membership program and maintain a sophisticated communications strategy for members.
  5. Lead group sales campaigns and manage communications/sales with group leaders, facilitate and process group sales.
  6. Maintain data integrity and oversee CRM database (Spektrix).
  7. Manage and train part-time Box Office Associates.
  8. Work with third-party ticketing vendors on outside sales for CSC events.
  9. Steer Classic Rewards program with marketing team (neighborhood benefits).
  10. Provide excellent and timely customer service to anyone reaching out to CSC’s box office Hotline; staff box office and internal box office Hotline.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The position is non-exempt, with a salary of $25/hour.
  • During performances (January through June), the position will require 40 hours per week, with the hours of 12pm-8pm. Responsible for working Tuesday – Friday performance shifts.
  • During dark weeks, the position will work 10am-6pm, Monday -Friday, for at least 24 hours per week.
  • The position will be eligible to receive CSC’s full health benefits, including dental and vision.
  • The position is eligible for flexible paid time off.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years’ experience working in a Box Office and/or Ticketing role within an arts organization, agency or similar.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, setting an example for all Box Office staff.
  • Experience with Spektrix ticketing and Dot Digital ticketing platform a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
  • A self-starter that takes initiative in completing day-to-day and one-off requests.
