Crew Life at Sea is hiring: Audio Technician in Miami

The Audio Technician is responsible for the running of the production and guest artist shows. The technician will oversee the operation of all Audio Systems onboard and assist other technicians with scenery changeovers and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the Audio design as set by the design teams & Norwegian Cruise Line.
2. In the event that production Audio needs to be changed for operational circumstances, notes must be taken to ensure the show can return to the correct audio design.
3. Set up and operate Audio for variety entertainers and various events other than production shows.
4. Operate equipment during daily rehearsals and sound checks for evening entertainment; ensure that all activities have appropriate Audio support.
5. Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on all entertainment audio equipment, on the vessel with the help of the Technical staff.
6. Assist with all scenic changeovers and ensure they are completed safely and in a timely manner.
7. Perform daily tests of Audio systems prior to show time and inform the Technical Supervisor of any malfunctions.
8. Responsible for the proper use and placement of microphones on performers, as well as the collection and inventory of all microphones and other loose equipment to ensure it is secure at the close of the venue.
9. To consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and service, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
