Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain broadcast television and IT related equipment including routers, switches, encoders, multiplexers, video servers, IP encapsulators, wireless microphones, intercom systems, and signal processing and conversion devices.
- Run and terminate cables including coax, network and audio.
- Instruct users on the operation of equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
- Work schedule includes various shifts that may include nights and weekends.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job.
- Working knowledge of broadcast video servers, broadcast automation systems, HD production environments and production automation systems.
- You must be a self-starter and able to prioritize work.
- You need to have a proficient level of knowledge of IT standards and practices including computer networking.
- You must work well with others and have excellent written and oral communication skills to be effective in communicating technical things to non-technical users.
- Systems level knowledge of news editing, production graphics and playout systems such as Grass Valley Ignite, Ross Overdrive, Grass Valley Stratus, and Telestream Vantage is a plus.
- Working knowledge of digital television transmitters, satellite uplinks and microwave STL/TSLs is preferred.
