For more information: This is a 1-year accelerated academic and professional experiential graduate degree program with a half- or full-tuition waiver awarded to successful candidates. In order to be considered for a fellowship you must apply to our Master of Communication program. The tuition benefit is the only compensation for this role. There is no additional pay.

Merrimack College is currently seeking candidates for a number of Graduate Fellowship positions in the area of Communication. As a graduate fellow, you’ll work 15-25 hours per week in a fellowship placement, gaining unparalleled hands-on experience as you also work toward your Master of Arts in Communication to prepare for a career in the growing communications field. Your fellowship will run in tandem with your graduate studies, so you will be able to apply the knowledge you obtain in your courses to your professional experience, and vice versa. You'll earn your master's in one year while saving 50% or 100% on tuition and graduate with the experience and professional connections to boost your career.

Merrimack's M.A. in Communications provides you with the skills you need to work in professional communications, from digital media content creation and campaign design to public relations and crisis communications, as well as related fields. You will graduate as a versatile, skilled, and strategic communicator through a variety of platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

If you’re selected for a Communications graduate fellowship, you will:

  • Complete a nine-month field-based experience at Merrimack College or a partner organization.
  • Serve 15-25 hours a week at your placement site while taking graduate courses in the summer and on afternoons and evenings throughout the academic year.
  • Earn your master's in one year – while saving 50 or 100% on tuition.
