As a leading resource for mental health, substance use disorder treatments, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, River Edge Behavioral Health (REBH) serves a unique population of over 10,000 Georgians. Our comprehensive range of services, designed for those without health insurance or who are underinsured, provides state-of-the-art treatment and support for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and developmental disabilities.
River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Marketing and Communication Manager to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate marketing and communications efforts for the organization and its affiliates across all applicable channels. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of delivering state-of-the-art treatment and support services to those in need. This position operates as a one-person office and reports to a C-level Executive.
The Marketing and Communication Manager will plan and execute an integrated communication strategy to enhance REBH's brand and raise awareness of programs, departments, and accomplishments among internal and external audiences. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing an annual communications and marketing plan to boost REBH's brand visibility, publishing timely press releases on all social media platforms—LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, X, TikTok, etc., and YouTube—creating printed materials such as flyers, brochures, event programs, banners, newsletters, and annual reports, managing ad placements, overseeing social media campaigns, and managing the River Edge website. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience in photography and video is required. The ideal candidate must be independent and self-directed, possess excellent time management skills, be self-motivated, enjoy thinking creatively, and have a proactive work approach while collaborating well as a team. In this role, you will be expected to be proficient in:
- Navigating a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Designing, implementing, and evaluating external communications plans for the REBH website, social media platforms, internal communications, and an employee portal—a social platform for staff.
- Developing and executing a distinctive, results-driven integrated communications strategy for REBH that includes advertising (both print and digital), public relations, publications, press releases, event scripts, video scripts, website and social media content, HTML emails, newsletters, and writing articles for journals and magazines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position will involve regular interaction with department heads, staff, and stakeholders, including media contacts and board members. Must be able to work effectively with diverse personalities.
- Overseeing consistent updates of public relations and other related communications materials for REBH.
- Writing and editing press releases, articles, media statements, and related materials to support a cohesive communications strategy. Maintain familiarity with trends and developments in the field of behavioral health services.
- Manage the department budget and expenses for communications and marketing.
- Creating engaging content for both internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrating project management skills to execute campaigns effectively and assist with special events as needed.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, public relations, or a related field from an accredited college.
- Experience with multiple desktop publishing software such as Canva, MS Publisher, Adobe InDesign, or similar tools.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading, directing, and managing communication and marketing responsibilities across a business.
- Five years of experience in creating targeted content.
- Five years of experience in enhancing brand visibility and reputation.
- Five years of experience developing strategic, comprehensive communication plans, measuring their effectiveness, and interpreting data results.
- Five years of experience working with outside vendors for services such as graphic design, photography, videography, and digital and social media content.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check; references will be checked.
