Intended for students and early career scholars researching Old World prehistory, the American School of Prehistoric Research (ASPR) Science Communication Fellowship offers training and hands-on experience in public writing and multimedia communication. Selected applicants will attend one in-person workshop at Harvard University and several virtual trainings led by professional science writers and journalists.
Fellows will survey the pop-science media landscape, learn craft and process in science communication, and publish a story for SAPIENS magazine about their research or perspectives. The ASPR, a department of Harvard University’s Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, supports research and education in old world prehistory.
