About the Role

Monks is seeking a Community Manager to join our growing Strategy and Planning team. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of community management strategies that foster engagement, build brand loyalty, and align with our clients' overall marketing objectives. Our ideal candidate is a proactive, versatile, and experienced professional who can identify and capitalize on new opportunities to create vibrant and engaged communities. Responsibilities include setting and implementing social media and communication campaigns, managing and overseeing all social media content initiatives across platforms to ensure customer engagement and brand consistency, and interacting with the community to build brand loyalty and ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of social media communities, ensuring timely and consistent engagement across platforms including, but not limited to Facebook Group, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Threads.
  • Monitor and manage community interactions, responding to comments, questions, and feedback in brand tone of voice to foster and deepen relationships.
  • Analyze community sentiment, feedback, and engagement metrics to identify trends and insights for optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics to engage the community.
  • Monitor and manage community interactions while identifying potential crises, coordinating response strategies with internal teams.
  • Organize and participate in community activations to build brand awareness.
  • Conduct regular competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities for differentiation and community growth.
  • Analyze daily conversations around the brand to inform strategies.
  • Partner with data analysts to develop monthly and quarterly reports on community health and engagement metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends, cultural shifts, and best practices in community management.

Content Collaboration and Creation:

  • Collaborate with content creation teams to develop engaging content that resonates with the community.
  • Provide ideas for text, images, and videos for social media accounts.
  • Collaborate on monthly content calendars ensuring timely publishing of social media posts.

About You

The essentials:

  • Proven work experience as a community manager for large-scale, national brands (3-5 years preferred).
  • Experience in reactive content creation with a track record of building engaged communities.
  • Strong understanding of marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audiences.
  • Expertise in tracking relevant community metrics (KPIs) using social listening tools.
  • Knowledge of social media best practices regarding formats and tone of voice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for quality assurance in high-profile channels.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Familiarity with scheduling and social media management tools like Sprinklr.

Salary Range: $65,000—$75,000 USD
