You must be able to communicate your ideas effectively within a team and produce bespoke high-quality videos and photographs. Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous work that proves their skill set.

Position Overview
The main objectives of this role are to research, produce and edit photos & videos for BCS’s social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Twitter). The successful applicant will be social media savvy across a variety of platforms and will assist with scheduling posts, engaging with customers through comments, messages and different social groups, as well as creating and running paid campaigns.
Our ideal candidate will be pro-active, organised and able to work in a professional and friendly way. You will be involved in The Big Cat Sanctuary’s creative development and therefore keeping up to date with current trends is an essential part of the job. With strong planning and communication skills, you will be expected to work independently as well as in a close team setting.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Produce exceptional quality content for BCS - including video, photos, campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR through social media and online marketing.
- Highly skilled in video editing (using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut X).
- Collect content from site events and the animals onsite, ensuring all pictures & videos are processed, catalogued & ready in time to meet deadlines.
- Generate, edit, publish and share high-quality, engaging daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds connections and encourages our audiences to take action.
- Assist with the BCS’s online & social media activity (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube & Twitter), seeking and capturing opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop followers & customer engagement.
- Ensure our presence on all platforms and outlets (including our website) is up to date, relevant and coherent.
- Work across commercial, original, social and marketing projects.
- Curate organic promotional content for socials to increase sales.
- Spearhead the ambitious growth in audience retention, watch time and engagement.
- Be an expert on any changes to trends in video publishing and social media, ensuring we are ahead of the curve when it comes to content published; develop video & content to achieve superior customer engagement/intimacy, website traffic & revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of social media & online marketing roadmap.
- Ensure all content is produced within brand guidelines and in-keeping with the tone of relevant Big Cat Sanctuary channels.
- Support the marketing & admin team with website maintenance, performance and content.
- Analyse social media & video campaigns and report back with ways to develop; write regular reports, error-free, quickly and efficiently; understand results, analyse and understand trends to improve.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction through market research and feedback; identifying actions and campaigns to enhance wherever possible; flag any negative comments to the team/formulate strategy to best mediate conversations.
Job Requirements (Essential)
- Very strong photography and video editing skills and can use a DSLR camera.
- Solid social media understanding and plenty of experience running one or ideally more company/brand/artist social accounts.
- Drive, enthusiasm and proactive with ideas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with creative flare and an excellent eye for detail.
- A passion for animals, zoos and conservation.
- Confident use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Must be willing to drive and have a full license and access to own vehicle.
Working Conditions
Monday to Friday, 08.00-17.00
Occasional early and late working will be required to accommodate deadlines or special events.
We give statutory holiday entitlement.
Starting Salary dependent on skills and experience.
