We are seeking a Senior Creative Executive who is passionate about telling engaging and enriching stories for children across multiple platforms. This role leads the creative processes for our biggest brand, CoComelon.


The successful candidate will work closely with our network of creators all over the world. Our in-house production teams are based in London and our current third-party animation studios are based in India. This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity, drive, and initiative.


Location: Los Angeles | Salary: $150,000 - $165,000 | Type: Full time, office-based role


Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all CCM content from a creative perspective from development to production through to final delivery to YouTube and premium platforms.
  2. Work with the Chief Creative Officer to develop and build out CCM creative strategy, DNA & content opportunities.
  3. Ideate on show ideas, working with Development teams.
  4. Identify and assign creative talent to develop and produce content.
  5. Review and provide notes on scripts, animatics, cuts, voice records, and all other steps in the creative process.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders (CCM GM, Commercial, Distribution, Platforms) to ensure creative development aligns with company goals and objectives.
  7. Maintain flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

  1. 8 years' experience in Children's Entertainment, Scripted Series, and/or Studio/Production experience.
  2. Experience working across content formats in both short-form and long-form, for narrative and music-based shows.
  3. A creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities and has developed & managed creative teams.
  4. Successfully overseen creative development and production of children's shows for both digital and traditional platforms.
  5. Degree in Communications, Creative Writing, or Film Studies preferred.
  6. Broad network of writers, artists, and agency contacts in the children's space.
  7. Solid grasp of filmmaking language and technique.
  8. Experience in confidently commenting on animatics, music, and effects.
  9. Experience leading a team on creative storytelling and development.
  10. Strong understanding of character and story in brand building.
  11. Ability to interpret data and insights and leverage them in the creative process.
  12. Good judgement and strong critical thinking skills.
  13. Proven communication skills; articulate and professional in both written and verbal form.
  14. Ability to work proactively and independently under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
  15. High level of organization and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines.
