Our client is seeking a dedicated and creative Graphic Designer to join their dynamic web retail design team on a contract basis. This role is perfect for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about delivering clean, web-ready designs that align with existing style guides and brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing compelling, brand-focused promotional graphics
2. Optimizing digital images for efficient download
3. Developing clean and effective graphic templates and style guides
4. Managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, web expertise, intrinsic design ability, and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and liaise effectively with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a web production environment
2. BA/BS in Design or equivalent
3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Self-motivated and capable of working independently
6. Knowledge of Flash, ActionScript is a plus
7. Retail web experience is a plus
8. Illustration skills are a plus
