About the Role
In the opportunity as Tax & Accounting Specialist Editor, you will:
- Monitor legal developments affecting health and welfare plans, including self-insured health plans, as well as fringe benefits, and other select employee benefits topics, and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for tax advisors, with the overarching goal of ensuring our coverage is current, accurate, and relevant.
- Create, update, and maintain expert analytical content for highly respected employee benefits products, including EBIA’s subject matter manuals, reflecting a high degree of knowledge, insight and practical experience.
- Edit work of external subject matter experts for relevance, accuracy, comprehensiveness, and adherence to style and quality guidelines.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with outside authors to foster ongoing collaboration in the development of updates/revisions and secure timely submission of written materials.
- Collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives to integrate advanced technologies into tax research methodologies and content delivery.
- Contribute to the development of enhanced digital experiences for our customers, leveraging deep tax knowledge and user experience insights.
- Support cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure our products meet and exceed market demands.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.
About You
You are a fit for the role of Tax & Accounting Specialist Editor if you have:
- A JD or LLM, with 7+ years of experience in a law firm, in-house counsel position, or leading tax research company, with a strong focus on health and welfare plans, including self-insured health plans, as well as fringe benefits and general ERISA compliance.
- Proven expertise in advising clients on complex tax matters across various industries.
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate intricate tax concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax research tools and software.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of successful teamwork and collaboration.
