At the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) we're not just a think tank – we're catalysts for progress. Our work on critical issues in policing drives decision-making at all levels of government. We’re looking for an experienced editor/writer who has knowledge of the field of policing, criminal justice, or public safety and can synthesize concepts, meeting notes, and research into clear, concise reports.

Key Requirements

  1. Experience writing and editing reports on policing or criminal justice issues.
  2. Ability to articulate complex concepts and think strategically to distill key messages and insights from data and research.

Our Team and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary starting at $150,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Our office is located in Washington, D.C., however, this position offers the option of a flexible/remote work arrangement.
