Summary
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Entertainment is seeking a Vice President of Post Production to join the Features Post Production team. The VP will be responsible for Dailies and Post Production workflows, budgeting, vendor bids, cost reporting, scheduling, negotiating crew deals, and more for the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. full slate of theatrical releases. This all requires strong knowledge of current and emerging post production technology and workflows.
Responsibilities
• Set up and oversee Production Dailies workflows, with knowledge in Camera formats, VFX specs, Editorial setups and deliverables.
• Maintain and develop knowledge of current and emerging post production workflows.
• Have vendor relationships and negotiate bids for Avids, Sound Stages, Sound Editorial, Dailies, and DI. Contact and meet with new vendors, domestic and internationally.
• Create Post Production budget templets working on Movie Magic Budgeting.
• Negotiate Editorial crew deals with knowledge of rates and deal points.
• Create and Manage post schedules for shows.
• Oversee Editorial setup for offices, Avids, and security.
• Support Editorial deliveries and knowledge of archival materials.
Experience & Skills
• BA preferred
• At least 7 years of experience as a post-production supervisor, post production executive, or related field preferably with Feature Film experience.
• Technically savvy, including a working knowledge of (frame rates, aspect ratios, file types)
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Strategic mindset, and guiding implementation of hardware, software, and technical solutions.
• Understanding of UHD/HD/SD formats, for file and tape-based deliveries.
• This position requires is a team champion who is trusting, professional, respectful and has strong communication skills, and is detailed oriented.
• Understanding of production and post production equipment and software commonly used in film production
• Effective negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external (vendors)
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet time-sensitive deadlines
• Be a forward thinker and constantly anticipate future needs
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management, transparency in communication, and be inclusive on decisions and direction
• Must be able to handle problems that arise in a tactful manner
