Job Description

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Firmwide Communications team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating graphic images for use on various media platforms and marketing throughout the firm.

Responsibilities

Design graphic content for the website, graphics for social media, data visualizations, infographics, and other content for diverse platforms.
Assist Visual Storyteller in creating assets for video and motion graphics.
Format graphic assets for the website and manage the media library in the CMS.
Collaborate with Firmwide Communications team and other departments on project requirements.
Show flexibility for occasional contributions to special projects beyond regular responsibilities.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Proficiency in MS Office such as Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience collaborating on video and motion graphics assets is a plus.
Strong illustration skills are a plus.
Working knowledge of Premier Pro and/or After Effects is a plus.
Problem-solving ability, excellent service orientation, and effective project management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition.
Must possess design talent, creative energy, and organizational skills.
Ability to anticipate, identify and troubleshoot problems and recognize alternative actions.
Ability to provide excellent, consistent service to internal and external clients in a supportive and professional manner.
Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants are required to submit a portfolio showcasing their proficiency in graphic design. The portfolio should demonstrate a solid foundation in design principles, including but not limited to color theory, composition, and typography. Examples should highlight versatility across various types of projects, such as social media graphics, data visualizations, website content, and other relevant mediums.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or comparable equivalent required.
3 plus years of related experience in the design, development, and implementation of graphic design projects required.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. The typical salary range for this position in New York is $61,000 - $68,000.
