The Graphic Designer plays a crucial role in supporting the marketing efforts of the Miami Herbert Business School, reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Marketing. The designer is responsible for producing high-quality digital and print designs that enhance the school’s brand, support student recruitment, and elevate the overall visibility of the school's programs. The role involves collaborating with the marketing team to create visually compelling materials for advertising campaigns, social media, and various promotional initiatives. This position requires creativity, proficiency in design tools, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to meet strategic marketing goals.
DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM
Department Specific Functions
Design and Development:
Create digital and print marketing materials, such as ads, brochures, banners, and social media graphics, to promote Miami Herbert Business School programs.
Work with a wide range of media and utilize graphic design software to create visually compelling content aligned with the school's brand guidelines.
Creative Ideation:
Develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts that effectively communicate key marketing messages.
Prepare rough drafts and present creative ideas for feedback and collaboration with the marketing team.
Website and Digital Design:
Design and maintain visually appealing webpages and digital assets for Miami Herbert’s marketing efforts, ensuring consistency across all online platforms.
Recommend and provide high-quality digital assets, including photography and video clips, for use in marketing publications, websites, and social media.
Design Revisions and Finalization:
Amend and finalize designs based on feedback and ensure timely delivery of approved materials for marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage the production and printing of promotional materials.
Compliance and Branding:
Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures, ensuring all marketing designs are consistent with Miami Herbert Business School’s branding and communication standards.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience
A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Expertise in graphic design principles, typography, and layout.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or Figma.
Demonstrated portfolio of accomplished work
Strong understanding of digital marketing and brand consistency.
Knowledge of print production processes and file preparation.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaborate with teams.
Creativity and innovation in developing unique design concepts.
Skilled in time management and handling multiple projects.
Ability to handle feedback and adapt designs quickly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Professional composure and effective interpersonal relationships.
