Multi-Skilled Journalist Job at Paramount Pictures in Miami

CBS O&O in Miami (WFOR) is looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team. The MSJ will have a passion for original storytelling, bring story ideas to the table daily, and a desire to tell local stories that matter in fast-paced South Florida.

MSJ’s are responsible for enterprising content and executing a story from start to finish. The candidate will also have a strong on-camera presence and strong technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and execute enterprise content on a daily basis
2. Cover breaking news when assigned
3. Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts
4. Produce content for X, Facebook, and other social media platforms
5. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platforms
2. Must have knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platform
3. Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU
4. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required
5. Must be a team player who can multi-task and possess the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
6. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
7. Journalism degree is preferred
