The Woodbury Community Library  is seeking a friendly, collab orative, book lover. If you li ke people of all ages, enjoy working with children in an informal educational setting, and like learning new things. you might be the right person for the library.

This job is a part time position for the primary librarian. The ideal candidate will:

• enjoy reading and talking about book s
• have some comp uter skills and feel comfortab le helping others with technol ogy questions
• be friendly an d responsible with children wh o use the library after school
• demonstrate cre ative energy to design events for all ages
• work in partner ship with the school to best u tilize the shared space of the  library building and grounds
• communicate and  listen well
• feel a strong  sense of community and interes t in developing the library to  enhance the town
• have knowledge of library administration and  work towards Public Library  Certification if not already certified.

A bachelor’s degree is recommended, but no formal lib rary training is necessary. Traini ng will be provided as well as support during the learning pr ocess.
