NOAA Boulder Library Project Administrative Analyst III

Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide library administration support to NOAA Boulder.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Leading library customer outreach and marketing in collaboration with the library team.
  2. Developing an annual outreach plan and calendar.
  3. Coordinating all library outreach, marketing, and training activities.
  4. Ensuring relevant webpages on the library website remain up to date.
  5. Writing or editing weekly news items and monthly newsletters.
  6. Organizing library events.
  7. Creating graphics and marketing materials.
  8. Developing methods for the library team to engage customers and gain library advocates.
  9. Devising, coordinating, and conducting customer education/training in various formats.
  10. Providing best practices in customer education/training to library team members.
  11. Supporting library public services including general reference and research support.
  12. Performing bibliometric and citation data analysis for agency divisions and labs.
  13. Serving as library liaison for specific labs within NIST, NOAA, and NTIA.
  14. Keeping up-to-date with research conducted in specific labs.

Work Setting and Environment:

Salary ranges from $47,000 - $65,000, depending on education and experience.

Monday - Friday, normal business hours.

Work is to be performed at NOAA's facilities in Boulder, CO.

On-site federal contractors must comply with CDC guidelines.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Master of Library Science from an American Library Association accredited program.
  2. Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  3. At least 3 years of subject matter experience.
  4. Familiarity with outreach to a variety of audiences, utilizing marketing practices and tools.
  5. Expertise with programs for online seminars and video tutorials.
  6. Expertise in searching bibliographic databases and navigating academic reference questions.
  7. Familiarity with Interlibrary loan procedures.
  8. Familiarity with citation management tools.
  9. Familiarity with data management and analysis tools.
