General Responsibilities:

• Provide musical directorship for the Protestant Service at Vance Air Force Base Chapel.
• Provide musical directorship for a minimum of 1 rehearsal and 1 worship service. Lead praise team and/or congregational.
• Lead the praise team and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required by the Chaplain.
• Continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service.
• Coordinate all support requirements with the Chaplain or their designated representative.
• Assist the Chaplain or their designated representative in developing the following regarding Music Programs as appropriate: annual calendar of events, Chapel Tithes and Offerings fund budget, Appropriated Fund budget, and core volunteer training requirements.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers within the music program.
• Be accountable for opening, restoring to its neutral setting, cleaning, and securing any facilities used for music events, rehearsals, worship services, or special services.
• Sing music from a religious music, ecclesiastical, or suitable type publication resource consistent with the nature of the Protestant Service.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in music or a minimum of four years' experience directing and playing for worship services with an emphasis on Gospel and/or Contemporary Christian music.
• Have 1 or more years of college in music (or related field), or equivalent years of related experience in a chapel/church setting.
• Must believe and adhere to the basic tenets of the Protestant Christian faith.
• Be able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship.
• Be able to skillfully play either a guitar and/or piano.
• Be able to plan, organize, and lead a Protestant style praise team.
• Be able to sing and play music in keeping with a Contemporary, Protestant style music service.
