Ladgov Corporation is hiring: Catholic Music Director in Yigo Municipality

Job Title: Catholic Music Director

Job Type: Part-Time

Location: Andersen Air Force Base Chapel, Guam

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Music Director in a worship service setting
• Proficiency in playing piano or keyboard with the ability to read sheet music and play by ear
• Familiarity with a repertoire of Catholic worship music and ability to lead diverse musical styles appropriate for sacred worship
• Experience in leading bands, praise teams, and congregations vocally and instrumentally
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• Must be at least 18 years old

Duties:

Worship Services:

• Provide musical direction and accompaniment for up to two Catholic worship services per week, including hymns, prelude, offertory, and postlude
• Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to each service to set up instruments, conduct sound checks, and finalize preparations

Rehearsals:

• Lead and rehearse with a praise team and band of up to 10 members, including instrumentalists and vocalists, for approximately one to two hours weekly
• Teach vocal parts and harmonies to praise team members

Special Services:

• Provide musical support for up to 12 special services annually, such as Christmas, Good Friday, and funerals
• Participate in rehearsals for special services, scheduled with at least 24 hours' notice

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with the Chaplain/Pastor to select music aligned with worship themes, submitting song lists 72 hours in advance for approval
• Lead the band and praise team during rehearsals and services as approved by the Chaplain/Pastor
