St Thomas More, a large, dynamic, Roman Catholic parish in Munster, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Assistant Music Director. Responsibilities include:

1. Selecting music for daily school Masses
2. Scheduling and preparing student cantors
3. Accompanying for several daily school Masses a week
4. Assisting with the annual school musical
5. Rehearsing, selecting repertoire for, and directing the parish Handbell Choir and Youth Chorale
6. Accompanying for weekly evening rehearsals for the parish Chorale and Schola
7. Accompanying for weekend Masses, sacraments, and other special and seasonal liturgies

Requirements:

Candidate should have a degree in music, liturgy, or related field, be thoroughly familiar with Catholic liturgy and hymnody, and must possess strong organ/piano skills. Candidate must also possess excellent planning and collaborative skills, and the ability to work with all ages. A familiarity with Microsoft Office and music composition software is preferred, but not mandatory.
