Job summary:

We are searching for a Product Owner to join the Tomplay product team. As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the Tomplay Interactive Sheet Music app with cutting-edge features, helping millions of musicians to learn and play their instruments. You will have the following responsibilities:

  1. As a first project, you will design and oversee the integration of our new learning product for beginners (beginner learning modules), ensuring an intuitive and engaging experience.
  2. You will conduct market research to identify user needs and competitor offerings, define product requirements, and prepare a detailed product structure brief which will be shared with the designer and the video editor. You will then oversee the design and development of the new modules with the co-founder of Tomplay.
  3. You will serve as the primary point of contact between designers, developers, and Tomplay’s co-founders to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.

What we require from you:

  1. Professional and classically trained music teacher (preferably a pianist or a saxophonist). A perfect understanding of all music theory concepts is essential.
  2. You teach a musical instrument to musicians of all levels, including beginners, and understand the needs and challenges that face amateur musicians when learning an instrument.
  3. Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the software industry is preferred but not required. You should be extremely well-organized and autonomous, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  4. English speaking is essential, with very good communication skills to coordinate all stakeholders involved in the project.
  5. You are naturally tech-savvy and spend a fair amount of your day online. You generally know how the web and apps work, and you can quickly learn how to use new software platforms. You regularly use music learning digital platforms and believe that new technologies can positively impact the music learning process.
